Here is part two of a short study in Isaiah 55. In Part 1, we examined how we drink of the water of God. This week, we address what the water of God is delivering to our souls.

Psalm 25:14
The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him,
and he makes known to them his covenant.
What is the water of God delivering to our souls? Knowledge of Himself. This is special revelation. Only those to whom God reveals Himself can know Him as they are known by Him: “…no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him” (Matthew 11:27).
Jesus is the Word made flesh (John 1:1) and the fullness of the Father (Colossians 1:19). The Spirit of God glorifies the Son (John 16:14). When the Spirit awakens us to understand the words of God as they are vested in the Scriptural canon, He is making us to know God in truth so that we can worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24).
When you imbibe a verse that illuminates to your soul a new and wonderful truth about your Savior and you worship Him in adoration, you have drunk the water of God. Drink and anticipate amazement!
