A Local Hero
Ms. Kebebush is an ambitious water scientist from the Ethiopian Highlands whose vision is to provide her people with education and training in wise water management. Sweetwater has mentored Kebebush since late 2021 when Kebebush requested David’s assistance with the development of her Ph.D. research on integrated water management.
In addition to training in experimental design and field techniques for stream assessment, we are working with Kebebush to publish her M.S. research on the impact of sedimentation on the growth performance of papyrus (Cyperus papyrus), a crop of economic importance in the Lake Tana district.
